GROENENDAAL
Alain Groenendaal has been elevated to president-CEO of Grey
Latin America. Mr. Groenendaal joined Grey in 2008 to lead Wing,
the marketing-communications shop focused on the
intersection of the U.S. Hispanic, Latin American and general
markets, and will continue to he Wing’s president-CEO. He was
previously general manager of La Comunidad. He also spent two
decades at Leo Burnett, where he rose to senior VP-regional
account director in Latin America, working on such blue-chip
accounts as Visa, P&G, Citibank, Bacardi, Kellogg’s, Disney, United
Airlines and Federal Express.
COVENEY
Elizabeth Coveneyhas joined Arnold Worldwide as
managing partner and executive director to lead the
McDonald’s business. Ms. Coveney, who is based in Arnold’s
Boston headquarters, was VP-national accounts in the
foodservice division of Coca-Cola North America. Ms.
Coveney honed her marketing expertise while rising through
the ranks over 24 years at Coca-Cola. In her most recent role,
Ms. Coveney served as business leader for the U.S. Field Team
and was responsible for setting strategy, managing sales
revenue and profit goals, and leading multiple growth
initiatives. She also spent six years leading the regional
McDonald’s team in New England.
LEVY
Keith Levy, former marketing chief for Anheuser-Busch, has
been named president of pet-food maker Royal Canin USA,
owned by Mars Petcare. Mr. Levy left the brewer more than a
year ago after a 24-year career spanning a variety of
leadership positions. Mr. Levy continues to serve on the board
of event marketing and social-media company uHaps Media.
WARREN
Joe Warrenhas been named exec VP-director of client
services for MPG U.S. Mr. Warren previously held the position
of senior VP-group planning director at MediaVest, working
on the key account of Kraft North America. While there, Mr.
Warren’s team launched Kraft One, the integrated Publicis
offering dedicated to the Kraft business. Prior to that, Mr.
Warren was at Universal McCann, where he was responsible
for the Intel business globally.
Kimberly-Clark has promoted Craig Nowokunskito VP-North
American customer development. His range of responsibilities
will include shopper marketing, customer supply chain, and
Canadian sales. Mr. Nowokunski most recently led the Walmart
Stores customer team as VP.

Video-entertainment brand Machinima has added Michael
Saperstein, previously director-digital sales for NBC Universal,
as VP-sales, Eastern U.S. Based out of Machinima’s New York
office, he will manage its regional sales efforts, with plans to
reach into the Canadian market. Additionally, Edward “EJ”
Laratta has been selected as Machinima’s VP-sales in the
Central and Western U.S. Before joining Machinima, he worked
at Microsoft Advertising and most recently oversaw Xbox sales
in the Central region.

GlobalHue, a marketing-communications agency that works
with clients such as Jeep and Verizon, announced a series of
internal promotions as well as new hires: Maria Lopez-Knowleshas been promoted from exec VP-client services to
president of GH Latino. Vida Cornelious, previously senior VP-executive creative director, has been elevated to chief creative
officer. Michael Jacobshas been promoted from exec VP-executive creative director to chief digital officer, and will be
solely responsible for establishing and maintaining the full-service digital division of GlobalHue. Matt Leehas joined
GlobalHue as senior VP-business. He was most recently at
WaitAway, where he developed and brought to market a web-based software application designed to help businesses in the
hospitality industry manage their waitlist, reservations and
CRM initiatives via mobile paging. Prior to WaitAway, he was
VP-business development and operations director at MRM
Worldwide, and held a nine-year stint with TBWA/Chiat/Day
both in New York and Los Angeles. Lastly, Jorge Abascalhas
joined GlobalHue as senior VP-creative director from MRM
Worldwide, where he led a team of art directors and graphic
designers to create nearly two dozen TV commercials for the
21st Auto Insurance company. Prior to that, he was the creative
director at CCA.

In this newly created position, the VP of Digital Marketing will be responsible for establishing the
vision, strategy and ongoing evolution of Equinox' digital marketing initiatives (i.e., websites,
online campaigns, social media, mobile applications, interactive video, web tools, etc.) This per-
son will be a strategic leader for the company's US and global digital efforts, by identifying and
executing new concepts for Equinox's family of lifestyle brands to drive membership leads and
incremental sales. This position will manage a team responsible for membership marketing,
social media and blog editorials, report to the Chief Marketing Officer and be part of the market-
ing leadership team. Q by Equinox is a 6-month-old editorial site dedicated to fitness, life and
style. The VP of Digital Marketing will need to examine existing traffic patterns, readership, and
