PEOPLE ON THE MOVE
BENNETT
Nature’s Variety has hired Robert Bennett as chief
marketing officer, a newly created position at the holistic
pet-food company. Mr. Bennett makes the move from
Clorox Co., where he managed marketing initiatives for the
past 12 years after starting his career with Procter &
Gamble. Most recently, he was senior director-global brand
marketing for Burt’s Bees. Mr. Bennett was responsible for
the global-innovation pipeline at Burt’s Bees, which
included launching more than 60 products a year, as well
as campaign development to support the brand. One of
these pushes was recently recognized by Advertising Age
as a top small-agency marketing campaign.
ROTHENBERG
Mark Rothenberg has been appointed senior VP-sports
for Havas Sports & Entertainment U.S., a division of Havas
Media that works for clients including Pedigree, Carnival
Cruise Lines, Dior, Havaianas, Volvo, Puig, Sears and
Yahoo. Based out of New York, Mr. Rothenberg will be
responsible for developing HS&E’s sports offering and
strengthening its presence in the U.S. He joins the agency
from Two River Consulting. Prior to that, he was exec VP-marketing for Cox Enterprises, which purchased the
agency he founded, Lifestyle Marketing Group. He also
helped establish Saatchi & Saatchi’s sports-marketing
network and has extensive experience in Olympic
marketing initiatives.
Meanwhile, Havas Media’s media planning and buying
agency, MPG, has named Adnan Brankovic VP-group
account director, charged with leading its Dannon
business. Mr. Brankovic rejoins MPG after spending six
years at Initiative, where he was most recently VP-account
director. While there, he worked with clients including
Hitachi and Computer Associates. In addition to his past
experience at MPG, he has also held media-planning roles
with Mediaedge:cia and Young & Rubicam.
KOVACEVICH
Former Goodby Silverstein & Partners Associate Creative
Director John Kovacevich is joining DraftFCB, San
Francisco, as VP-creative director. He will work alongside
Senior VP-Group Creative Director Julie Scelzo on the
Dockers and Del Monte accounts. During his three years at
Goodby, Kovacevich worked on clients including Frito-Lay,
Tostitos, Chevrolet, Sonic Drive-In and Foster Farms. Mr.
Kovacevich is also a sketch-comedy performer and actor
whose acting credits include appearances in films such as
“The Pursuit of Happyness.”
DEL GRECO
Laura Del Grecohas been named to the newly created
position of VP-client solutions for USA Today. Ms. Del Greco’s
background includes Turner Entertainment Sales, where she
was VP-sales programming strategy. Prior to joining Turner,
she was VP-corporate integrated marketing for Warner
Music Group, where she established the first cross-label
corporate marketing team. Before that, she was director-corporate worldwide promotions for Warner Bros. Studios.
IPG Medibrands’ UM has selected Barbara Pelham as exec
VP-global managing partner for its MasterCard business,
collaborating with all five IPG agencies that serve
MasterCard’s global business needs. Ms. Pelham most
recently worked as an executive group director at
OgilvyOne. Before that, she was the WPP team lead for
Bayer at Ogilvy Healthworld. In this role, she led WPP
global consolidation for Bayer Healthcare across four
divisions in 12 key markets.

Therese A. Gamba has been named senior VP-marketing
for NBC Owned Television Stations. Ms. Gamba most
recently worked as a consultant specializing in marketing
and media strategy for a variety of clients, including
Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution. Before that,
she spent seven years at the ABC Owned Television
Stations, and also worked at Viacom for four years as VP-marketing for TNN (currently Spike), where she was part of
the team that rebranded and relaunched the channel, and
as VP-marketing of Worldvision.

Sr. Consumer Insights Planner
Position Overview: As a key leader in the Business Analytics and Consumer
Insights Team, this position is responsible for bringing the consumer perspective
to marketing decision making around branding strategy, positioning, communication
strategy, targeting and innovation. This role will build, implement and manage
consumer understanding tools that extract insight for the brands, and will work
in partnership with Brand Marketing and other cross functional departments;
Global CI Planning/Marketing, Finance, Business Analytics, Shopper Marketing
in the development of strategies for all consumer touch points (communication,
packaging, innovation, etc.). This position will report to the AVP of Consumer
Insights. Duties and Responsibilities: Serve as a comprehensive point of contact
supporting the Marketing Brand Teams to achieve objectives and move the
business forward. On a continual and pro-active basis, identify key consumer
and market information needs that arise on assigned areas of responsibility.
Design, implement and analyze cost-effective consumer research studies to
address information needs/gaps for assigned businesses. Execute analysis and
provide insights to unlock growth, accelerate sales and increase consumer
commitment incorporating both consumer information and market data.

This position is in Dallas, TX. Responsible for helping create the development of
best in class creative excellence for AT&T; fostering an internal team and
agency culture of creative thinking; and leading the development of key corporate
and business unit advertising programs to meet brand and business objectives.
The AVP will be tasked with leading the development of all Corporate, Advanced
Business Solutions (Enterprise and Small Business) and Diversified Products
